The highlight of our trip was definitely the whale watching tour. Despite the cold and rainy weather, Sophie and Captain Michelle excelled at locating whales, and Claire was both charming and incredibly knowledgeable.

The experience was fantastic! Having a convenient way to explore was wonderful. Finding the guides on the boardwalk was easy. The Mendenhall Glacier was stunning. Our bus guide was engaging and shared many interesting facts. The whale-watching boat ride was exciting; we spotted a few whales. Despite the cold, windy, and rainy conditions, the crew took excellent care of us. Make sure to bring waterproof jackets, gloves, pants, and a balaclava for the rain. The heaters on board were nice, and there were good snacks along with great insights from Griffin, Monica, and Krishell. Griffin added a lot of humor to the trip! 15!!
Despite the less than ideal weather, the crew—Michelle, Sophie, and Claire—impressed us with their knowledge. Michelle excellently navigated the boat through windy and rainy conditions, managing to spot whales. We enjoyed learning their names and other details. We wholeheartedly recommend Alaska Tales.
