Two hours by bus — explore historic downtown Juneau, cross to Douglas Island, and visit scenic spots including a whale sculpture and views of Mendenhall Glacier.
This guided bus tour lasts approximately two hours, showcasing the key highlights of historic downtown Juneau. The journey begins with a brief exploration of downtown and its origins, followed by a crossing of Juneau's only bridge to Douglas Island.
The first stop is Homestead Park, where you can enjoy scenic views over the Gastineau Channel, capturing the city against the backdrop of Mt Juneau. You'll also visit the striking 40-foot bronze whale sculpture, "Takhu," which makes for an excellent photo opportunity. The tour proceeds to Brotherhood Park, where you can spot Mendenhall Glacier in the distance, depending on weather conditions. This tour combines education, scenic views, and family-friendly fun.

Incredible tour! Fred was an exceptional guide, sharing his extensive knowledge of history and architecture while providing us with snacks and souvenirs. I highly recommend this experience.
This tour deserves a full 5 out of 5. The guide was exceptional, and I recommend it to everyone. The scenery was spectacular.
The bus tour of Juneau was excellent and to the point. Our driver, Aiden, was well-informed, engaging, and enthusiastic about answering all our questions. It was a fantastic experience for the price, including water, unique mementos, and delicious local samples.
This tour was enjoyable! The bus was comfortable, providing nice views of the city. My father-in-law, who has limited mobility, managed to get on and off the bus easily at all three stops. There is a portable restroom at the second stop, and there were no extra fees during the tour. It lasted 1.5 hours but felt quicker, which is a good sign. Scott, our driver and tour guide, was excellent. Remember to bring a drink and feel free to ask plenty of questions!
Krystal is an excellent and polite driver who is attentive to her surroundings. She provided valuable information about sights to see and was well-informed about the local history as a native of Ketchikan. I highly recommend her.
Juneau may be compact, but this tour explores its outskirts. Our driver, Jay, was not only friendly but also very informative.
I had a fantastic time on this city tour, and my guide, Krystal, was exceptional. Having grown up in Alaska, she provided a wealth of knowledge that made the experience even more enjoyable.
We had a wonderful ride in a spotless bus. Our tour guide, Aiden, was fantastic, providing us with lots of information while also being quite funny. I highly recommend both him and this tour.
Fred was excellent and truly enhanced the enjoyment of the tour.
Krystal, our driver and guide, was enjoyable and drove safely. Despite the rainy and cloudy conditions in Juneau, she highlighted the city's attractions for our shuttle van group and generously offered free snacks and souvenirs to enhance our experience, even though the weather was out of our control.
