How does pickup work?+
Pickup is available from your accommodation in Jodhpur, Jodhpur Airport (JDH), Jodhpur Junction Railway Station, or the bus station. If your hotel is located in the Old City, pickup will be from the office.
What's the itinerary?+
• Upon arrival at Jodhpur Airport (JDH), Jodhpur Junction Railway Station, or the bus station, an English-speaking driver will meet you. Hotel pickup in Jodhpur is also an option to commence the Village Safari. Departures are offered both in the morning and afternoon (see Departure Time for specifics). Visit the Bishnoi Villages, where there may be opportunities to see Black Bucks or partridges. From September to March, thousands of migratory demoiselle cranes might be visible near Guda Lake. You will also observe the lives of local craftsmen, shepherds, and farmers. After the tour, you will be returned to either Jodhpur Airport (JDH), Jodhpur Junction Railway Station, the bus station, or your hotel in Jodhpur. • Gudha village affords a glimpse into local wildlife and interaction with Bishnoi families, allowing for an emotional connection with the villagers and their way of life. En route from Gudha village to subsequent destinations, rare views of various wild animals can be seen in their natural habitats. • Kankani (Block Printers Village): This village is essential to visit during a village safari in Jodhpur, showcasing artisans engaged in traditional fabric handprinting. • Weavers village Known as the land of magic carpets, this village exhibits the craftsmanship of locals creating durry (rugs), a colorful representation of traditional weaving in Rajasthan, made from cotton or wool. • Potter’s Village Famed for its pottery, you can observe local artisans at work and try your hand at creating pottery pieces. Demonstrations will be provided, allowing for interaction with the potters for a deeper understanding of their craft.
