I strongly advise against taking this trip. The guide, Anderson, was extremely impolite. He wouldn't allow children to use the bathroom, forcing my child to wait three hours. This shows his lack of concern for our well-being. Initially, we agreed on a price of $260 per person, but by the end, it had ballooned to triple that amount with hidden charges totaling $1500 for our family of three. We were devastated, as we had saved up to fulfill our dream of visiting America. Additionally, Anderson insisted on tips to the point of begging. This experience has left my family and me shocked and disappointed, having spent far more than we anticipated, all while dealing with a rude staff member. I cannot recommend this trip, especially if Anderson is your guide.
I arranged this tour for my parents, and it covered nearly all the key attractions in the Philadelphia and Washington, DC area as planned. The food and accommodation were good. I want to especially thank our bilingual tour guide, Peng Peng, for being dedicated and professional. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour program and guide, Mr. Rong Zheng, were outstanding. However, nearly 45 out of 55 participants were Chinese, which could be improved. Their loud behavior on the bus and smoking were bothersome. The guide had to balance between English and Chinese, providing only partial service for non-Chinese speakers. If future tours are similar, I would reconsider signing up. The program and guide themselves were excellent.
I participated in a two-day tour led by the very professional and knowledgeable guide, Peng. We managed to see a lot during this time. The arrangements for the hotel, meals, and attractions were well organized.
I had an excellent time exploring Washington. We visited numerous memorials and monuments. Our tour guide, Kiko, was outstanding.
Vicky, our tour guide, did an excellent job of accommodating us since we were the only English-speaking participants on her tour.
The trip to Washington, DC was enjoyable and not too hurried. We visited the main attractions, giving us a good sense of the city. Although our hotel was decent, it was about 40 minutes from downtown. Our guide was kind, but since most of the group was Chinese, she spoke primarily in Mandarin. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.
The service provided was unprofessional and felt like a complete scam. Initially, I paid for the tour, but then they charged us an additional $496 for food and attractions on the bus. On the return trip, they enforced a 15% fee per person, costing us $90 for two days, which is excessive. When I requested to speak with customer service, they claimed not to have one, and there was no manager available either. The buses were outdated, lacking window blinds and a bathroom.
I cannot recommend this tour. We were the only two English speakers on a 55-passenger bus. The guide tried his best, but the driver frequently got lost. At attractions, we had only 10-15 minutes, and there was barely any time for bathroom breaks. On the first day, we didn't stop for food until the evening, and the hotel was 45 minutes from DC, wasting a lot of time. On the second day, we only had 2 hours in DC, leaving at 1 and not returning to New York until 10:30. The bus was worn out, and they kept the bathroom locked, which was fortunate since we didn't need it. I would suggest taking Amtrak to DC and planning your own itinerary.
Philadelphia was just a brief stop of 30 minutes, which felt unnecessary, but that's how the program was designed, so no complaints. Washington, D.C. was very worthwhile, and the hotel room was satisfactory. Breakfast was the final highlight. Our tour guide, Jackson, was friendly and provided a lot of information.
