What's the itinerary?+
• The itinerary begins with a visit to Hawa Mahal, a prominent landmark in the center of old Jaipur, close to the market. A 30-minute stop is ample to see this location, which features four floors designed for specific functions. Views of the city are available from the top, while the middle floors have colorful lattice windows. • The next stop is Jantar Mantar, the most notable of the five observatories established by Sawai Jai Singh II in India. This site showcases ancient astronomical instruments and includes the world's largest stone sundial. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site located near the City Palace and Hawa Mahal. • Following Jantar Mantar, the City Palace Complex will be explored. This site is a major tourist attraction of Jaipur and requires at least two hours for a thorough visit. The City Palace is known for its captivating architecture, beautiful courtyards, intricate designs, and impressive museums, offering a glimpse into a rich historical era. • A brief 10-15 minute stop will be made at Jal Mahal, the palace situated in the water, which can be viewed from the road as there is no entry allowed. This site provides picturesque views of Man Sagar Lake and the adjacent Nahargarh hills. • Royal Gaitor Tumbas, located just outside the old city, is the mausoleum of a maharaja surrounded by beautifully carved marble tombs, pillars, domes with reliefs, and a fairytale-like atmosphere. It is an excellent spot for photography enthusiasts. • To appreciate the architectural brilliance of the Panna Meena Ka Kund (stepped well), a half-hour visit is recommended. Its symmetrical stairs are arranged in a zigzag pattern along with octagonal gazebos, making it one of the most photogenic sites in Jaipur. • Albert Hall Museum, the oldest museum in Rajasthan, serves as the state museum and is known as the Government Central Museum. It houses an extensive collection of artifacts, including paintings, jewelry, carpets, sculptures, and an Egyptian mummy, which is the main attraction. • Known for its forts and palaces, Jaipur will be thoroughly visited with all major tourist sites. Following the above locations, a trip to a local market can be added based on personal interest. • Erected in 1749 by King Ishwari Singh to celebrate his victory over Raja Madho Singh, the Sargasuli Tower is a striking example of Vaastushaastra architecture and the tallest historical building in Jaipur, which served as a watchtower for the palace. • The Monkey Temple, or Galta Ji, is a significant temple in Rajasthan dedicated to Lord Hanuman and the Sun God. Its notable architecture and religious significance attract many visitors, and enjoying the sunset here is highly recommended.
