Two hours, drive your own CraigCat — explore Amelia Island waterways, potential sightings include dolphins and manatees.
This guided two-hour tour offers a chance to drive your own CraigCat, a small boat that manoeuvres like a go-cart on water. Departing from 251 Creekside Drive, Fernandina Beach, you will navigate the scenic waterways of Amelia Island, with opportunities to spot local wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, and birds.
To operate the CraigCat, you must be at least 18 years of age, and if born after January 1, 1988, holding a Florida Boater Safety Card is mandatory. Expect to get splashed depending on weather conditions, so dress appropriately for a bit of water fun.

This tour is an excellent opportunity for water lovers to explore the sights and gain insight into the area. My husband and I had a blast on the CraigCat Boat Tour. Being so close to the water was amazing; I felt I could almost reach out to the dolphins as they swam past. Our guide, Kyle, was very personable and provided a wealth of information. Just be ready to get wet, as you definitely will.
This was an incredibly enjoyable experience on the water! It combined local history with dolphin watching and the sheer excitement of riding the waves. Expect some saltwater splashes and a few bumps along the way, but that just adds to the adventure. If you want a unique way to experience the water, this is definitely the way to go.
It was an incredible experience. Be prepared to get soaked, so bring a change of clothes. We spotted dolphins and explored the shoreline at Tiger Island. It was a wonderful, fun day on the water.
The guides were fantastic. We had the chance to see wild horses, several dolphins, and a couple of alligators making their way from the water to the beach. With plenty of sunshine, it was a wonderful day.
I had a great time and would definitely do it again.
Captain Bill provided both informative and entertaining commentary. It was wonderful to be on the water and explore Cumberland Island, where we encountered beautiful birds and small dolphins.
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was an enjoyable experience that allowed us to see Cumberland Island, the marshes, and the coastal waterways intimately. Our guide, Kyle, was fantastic—extremely knowledgeable about local history, wildlife, and interesting stories. I highly recommend this tour.
The Craig Cat provided an enjoyable experience, combining an exciting boat ride with brief stops where our knowledgeable guide, Bill, shared insights about the area's history and scenery. Although the tour was somewhat expensive, I felt it was still worthwhile. Lasting 2.5 hours, the duration was just right for me.
I had an amazing time with Bill. He was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, sharing his fascinating life story. I enthusiastically recommend this excursion.
I enjoyed this experience with my daughter four years ago, so I brought my wife along this time. We spotted dolphins, alligators, spoonbill birds, wild horses, and even a manta ray. Captain Bill Quick was excellent. I appreciated seeing more of the area this time around, which was fantastic. The boats are enjoyable to drive, but be prepared to get wet.
