Our kayaking experience with Pete in Amelia Island was unforgettable. His calm demeanor and extensive knowledge, gained from over 27 years in fire/rescue and EMS, made our time insightful and enjoyable. He taught us to identify different birds and reptiles and shared fascinating facts, including about the unique cardinal. For Pete, guiding seems more like a passion than a job. We appreciated the experience, though we regretted not capturing a photo with him.
The river was stunning and paddling was a breeze. This was my second experience with Amelia Island Kayak, and I would definitely choose them again. The first time, I enjoyed a guided tour, which was fantastic, and this time I opted to go without a guide. I spotted numerous turtles and a tiny alligator, along with beautiful blooming flowers and plenty of birds.
Aaron provided a brief overview on how to use the kayak before we set off. The scenery was stunning, and we even spotted an alligator. This adventure is a must when in Amelia Island. Thanks to Aaron and Amber for making it all possible.

Our experience with Pete from Up the Creek Expeditions was fantastic. The cost was fair and the views were stunning. Pete shared so much knowledge about the local flora, fauna, and history. We decided to rent kayaks from Up the Creek on a day when they didn't run tours. As experienced paddlers, we found Pete's assurance that the trip would be easy to be accurate. The weather was lovely, in the low 70s with plenty of sunshine, and the creek was delightful. We spotted many turtles basking in the sun, but thankfully no alligators, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a very relaxing day on the water with excellent equipment provided by Up the Creek.
