Whitewater rafting adventure on the Snake River — Adventure things to do in Jackson

Three-and-a-half hours on the Snake River — an 8-mile paddle-only experience through Class II and III rapids with a small group of up to 8 participants.

This thrilling whitewater rafting trip on the Snake River is the high-adventure option for adrenaline seekers. Covering 8 miles of Class II and III rapids, the route includes well-known challenges like Lunch Counter and Big Kahuna. The trip lasts approximately three and a half hours, and the small, 14-foot rafts ensure a close-to-waterline experience, making every rapids encounter feel exhilarating.

With a maximum of 8 guests per raft, you’re in for an intense, team-oriented adventure where each person works together to navigate through the waves. This paddle-only experience sets it apart from other tours, as you control the raft without heavy oar-frames. An ideal choice for those looking to connect more actively with the river, it’s worth noting that you may consider inquiring about private boat options for a more exclusive outing.

A strict timetable is adhered to in order to meet the river's timing; late arrivals will not be accommodated. • WHAT TO WEAR: Expect to get wet. Quick-drying synthetic materials are essential (such as swimsuits, rash guards, and polyester). Avoid cotton, denim, or hooded garments, as they become cold and heavy when wet. Wetsuits and booties can be rented at the office and are strongly advised on cooler days. • WEATHER POLICY: Rafting occurs regardless of weather conditions.
