I initially scheduled my tour for Saturday, but when rain was forecasted, I shifted it to Sunday at 9 am. Despite receiving an email confirming this change, there was a miscommunication and the tour occurred at 8 am instead. It appears there is a breakdown in communication between TripAdvisor and Viator. The tour itself lasted about two hours and was definitely worth it. My guide was knowledgeable, well-prepared, and provided a wealth of information about Ithaca's history, which made up for the booking misunderstandings.
Adriana was accommodating since we wanted to explore Cornell, but the official tours were booked. Her insights as a graduate of the university were impressive. She also guided us on an interesting hike up one of the gorges to the campus. It was a wonderful experience.
This is absurdly overpriced. For that amount, one would expect a week’s stay with meals included, along with access to the gorges, swimming at Enfield and Buttermilk Park, plus Thursday night music at Myers Point. If it’s a Saturday, breakfast at the Farmers Market should also be included.
