Two hours on a private boat with a licensed captain — explore mangrove channels for wildlife sightings like dolphins and manatees.
This two-hour private ecotour takes you through the unique mangrove islands and channels of Islamorada, guided by a USCG licensed captain experienced in marine biology and environmental science. You'll have the opportunity to spot native wildlife, including dolphins, manatees, crocodiles, and nesting birds on your journey.
Starting from the lower end of Islamorada, the tour capitalizes on quick access to prime locations, allowing you to explore areas that other boats cannot reach, including no combustion zones. Be prepared for a hands-on experience that connects you with the local ecosystem.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Although the wind made it challenging to see underwater at times, our guide Henry was fantastic, finding spots where the water was calmer. We saw tarpon, various birds, sponges, and upside-down jellyfish. Henry is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and the area. From the moment we boarded the boat to when we disembarked, it was a delightful experience. Thank you, Henry, for making it so memorable!
Henry was exceptionally friendly and well-informed. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, spotting numerous birds, fish, and even a manatee. The small boat was comfortable and offered a shaded area for those who wanted it. It was definitely worth the price, and I would gladly do it again.
We had a great time on our 2-hour tour. Henry, our guide, shared plenty of information about the local aquatic life and the Keys overall. Although we didn't spot as much wildlife as we anticipated, the trip was still enjoyable.
This was a fantastic tour that provided a wealth of information. The captain was both friendly and well-informed, and the boat was spotless and comfortable.
The ecotour was quite disappointing. Besides a barely visible baby crocodile on a branch, we only saw some pelicans and cormorants. While the guide was friendly, there was a lack of informative background. The cost didn't match the experience.
I've taken this trip several times before, and Captain Sam always does an excellent job of organizing everything. I contact her directly with my preferences, and she consistently delivers. This year, my captain was Henry, just like last year, and he was fantastic. He remembered our previous trip and showed me new sights this time around. I valued his local knowledge and enjoyed our conversations. I even saw a shark in the wild for the first time and swam with a school of fish! I booked a two-hour ocean trip, and it was a wonderful experience. I strongly recommend KeyZ Charters for a boat trip in Islamorada.
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. I really enjoyed Bird Island. Although the sunset cruise wasn't at its best that night, I still had a great time.
The trip was cancelled because of weather conditions, and we have yet to receive our refund. The captain was polite when informing us about the cancellation.
Captain Kristi was outstanding—very friendly and entertaining. I truly enjoyed the experience and appreciated the opportunity to see and learn a lot about the local area.
We enjoyed an excellent experience with Kristen—I'm fairly certain of her name. The tour was both fun and informative, and we got to see manatees and dolphins.
