We took a trip to Bird Island with Henry as our boat captain. There, we found a pelican stuck in a mangrove tree, tangled in fishing line, a lure, and a hook. We managed to free the pelican and brought him back to shore, where staff from the bird sanctuary took care of his injuries.
The setting was stunning, and the captain was both knowledgeable and friendly. The sunset was gorgeous. I highly recommend booking this experience! I also witnessed a pelican rescue from fishing line.
