This site is truly remarkable. The history of the geoglyphs is fascinating. Although it appears to be in a remote area, you really get to experience the essence of the country. There is ample parking, and it's a good idea to bring some water.
My mother and I dedicated our day to visiting the Atacama Giant, and Billy tailored our tour to include the Pintados geoglyphs and the oasis at Pica. Throughout the trip, we gained insights about Chile, nearby countries, tamarugo trees, the Atacama salt flat, and the Andean people's journeys from the mountains to the sea.
