Jungfrau

Jungfrau is a prominent mountain peak in the Bernese Alps, reaching 4,158 metres and part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Often referred to as the "Top of Europe," it is accessible via the Jungfrau railway, which takes visitors through a dramatic landscape of glaciers, rocky outcrops, and the iconic Eiger and Mönch peaks. A visit here offers extensive hiking trails and breathtaking views, particularly from the viewing platform at the Jungfraujoch railway station. Summer months attract the most tourists, but winter sports enthusiasts will find excellent skiing in the surrounding areas. The high-altitude setting is strikingly silent, broken only by the distant sound of creaking ice.
