• Golkonda Fort is a fortified hilltop structure from the 12th Century Hindu Kingdom, which was strengthened and reconstructed in the 16th Century by the founders of the Qutb Shahi Kingdom. It served as their capital while they governed during the 16th and 17th Centuries. The site was a prominent diamond trading hub in the medieval era. Visitors will see fortifications, bastions, historic mosques, ruined barracks, unique Deccan rock formations, dilapidated palaces, ancient temples, Durbar Halls, and open-air theatres, among other attractions. The ascent requires climbing over 300 steps to reach the top of the fort for a panoramic view of the area, providing insight into the rich history of medieval Deccan. • The Qutb Shahi Tombs are a royal burial site constructed in the Indo-Saracenic architectural style during the 16th and 17th Centuries. This location includes tombs of the kings, their relatives, courtesans, royal doctors, funerary mosques, step wells, arches, domes, and minarets that exemplify the beautiful Islamic architecture of the medieval period established by the Sultans of the Qutb Shahi Kingdom. The Qutb Shahis were one of the five Deccan Sultanates that shaped the socio-cultural landscape of this region. Following this visit, it takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes to return to the hotel.
