It starts with a floatplane ride to Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park. • Upon landing at the lake, you will proceed to the visitor center for a Bear Etiquette film and a briefing conducted by the Rangers at Brooks Camp. Afterwards, there is a hike to the falls where you can observe bears from safe platforms constructed by the National Park Service. The main falls platform is approximately a 1.5-mile walk from the Visitor Center. • You may walk at your own speed, and restrooms and other facilities are available along the way.
