This four-hour tour departs from Homer Harbour and takes you across Cook Inlet to Chinitna Bay in Lake Clark National Park. Under the guidance of an experienced leader, you'll have opportunities to view enormous brown bears in their natural habitat, ideal for capturing memorable photographs.

Depending on the tides, the trip includes a few hours of halibut fishing as you head in or out of the bay. Keep in mind that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the limit is one halibut per person. Dress in layers suitable for changeable Alaskan weather, and be prepared for the excitement of wildlife encounters.

• For those with limited time who want to see bears and catch halibut, this excursion is ideal. We will leave from Homer Harbor and cross Cook Inlet to reach Lake Clark National Park. Once we arrive in Chinitna Bay, a guide will lead you to different viewing platforms for bear observation. Depending on tidal conditions, we will make a stop to fish for halibut for a few hours either en route to or returning from the bear viewing.
