The crew of two on our morning outing from Homer Spit did an excellent job. We enjoyed numerous sightings of Orcas, Sea Otters, and Puffins, along with other seabirds. However, I was disappointed that a tour advertised for a maximum of six had more than twice that amount, which made it feel crowded and forced us to compete for space. The tour's capacity description on TripAdvisor should reflect the actual experience.
Zach and Alex were outstanding as our captain and crew on the Kachemak Bay sea safari lasting two hours. We observed various birds, such as tufted puffins, as well as sea otters and harbor seals, all amid stunning rock formations and beautiful mountain and island views. Fortunately, we enjoyed a sunny day that brought out the vibrant blues and greens. It was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.
It was a lovely, peaceful day perfect for observing otters and sea lions. I particularly enjoyed visiting Bird Island to see the puffins and common murres.
Captain Ben was excellent on this tour. We spotted whales, sea otters, and numerous birds, including puffins. I strongly recommend this wildlife tour with Coldwater AK.
The tour was fantastic for wildlife viewing in a short amount of time. There were countless otters and an abundance of birds. The boat was excellent, and the crew was exceptional. The small group size enhanced the experience. I would definitely repeat this tour.
Captain Ben provided an excellent wildlife tour filled with valuable insights. We witnessed a lot and gained substantial knowledge. I highly recommend this experience for anyone interested in stunning scenery and wildlife. We plan to take this tour again.
Our wildlife tour with Ben was fantastic. The weather was perfect, and we spotted numerous birds and otters against stunning backdrops. Ben's expertise about the region was impressive. We look forward to returning!
The boat was well-maintained with both indoor and outdoor seating options. It's a good idea to dress warmly, as sitting at the front may result in getting wet.
We thoroughly enjoyed this two-hour tour with a small group on a cozy boat. The scenery was stunning, and we spotted eagles, various birds, sea otters, and even a porpoise, though it wasn't whale season. Be sure to dress warmly; you may get some water spray if you sit upfront when the boat picks up speed, which adds to the adventure. There’s also the option to sit inside if you prefer. Overall, we are really pleased we took this tour.
Kelsey and Jasper provided an incredible tour experience. Their enthusiasm matched that of the group as we explored the wildlife. We enjoyed their stories and insights on the local area and marine life. Highlights included seeing a mother humpback whale and her calf breaching, numerous otters with their young, a puffin, and small porpoises. I highly recommend booking this tour.
