The rental includes a professional orientation on how to safely navigate the local waters. You can choose to explore the mouth of the Atlantic Ocean, cruise behind Daufuskie Island, or venture up the May River to visit the sand bar at Palmetto Bluff. The boats accommodate up to 10 people, but the captain must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and experience in boating. We had an enjoyable time. The only downside was that the previous group kept the boat for an extra 15 minutes, which reduced our rental period, and there was no apology for that. Overall, it was a fun experience.

The boat was in decent shape, although the 70HP engine felt a bit underpowered for six adults, yet it functioned. Our only incident was a Coast Guard boarding due to expired registration and a malfunctioning horn, but thankfully, the citation went to the rental company. It's important to pay close attention during the orientation and check the registration, horn, whistle, and other safety gear. Enjoy your time!
