We recently participated in a small group tour in Hilo that covered the volcanoes, national parks, and additional attractions. Josh was an excellent guide, providing detailed insights about the formation of the volcanoes. We also visited Rainbow Falls, a lovely garden, and a candy factory where we sampled some fantastic handmade chocolates. This was among the best tours we experienced in Hawaii, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Hilo.

The visit to the volcano National Park was enjoyable. Our guide provided a lot of information, although at times a bit quickly for our liking. The tour bus was quite comfortable with ample leg space. The falls were beautiful, despite being less impressive because of the heavy rain.
You'll gain a deep understanding of the dynamics and impact of active volcanoes from your guide, who has spent her entire life on the island. She also imparts her extensive knowledge about the rich vegetation and both domestic and wild animals. The vehicle used for our small group tour was comfortable and met our expectations perfectly. Everyone in the group felt this was truly one of the best excursions.
Josh made for an excellent host. We felt fortunate to witness the volcano fountain. While the rest of the tour was enjoyable, nothing compared to the eruption.

Josh was aware of the eruption that morning and adjusted our route to ensure we arrived early, avoiding heavy traffic and delays. We reached the site swiftly and were in awe of nature's display—an unforgettable experience.
