Our experience was very disappointing. Our guide, Donald, lacked knowledge about Hawaii and the attractions we were visiting. It felt unprofessional to be picked up in an unmarked minivan in a park, which made us uneasy. The vehicle had an unpleasant odor, and there was no clear itinerary—he seemed to just improvise. We spent most of our time driving to random, obscure locations, where we would spend a few minutes before getting back on the road for another long drive. For the price, it was not worth it; we could have visited a couple of notable places ourselves and saved a significant amount of money.
Henry was outstanding. He began the tour a few minutes early, ensuring we stayed ahead of the cruise ship excursion buses throughout the day. We explored downtown briefly before heading to volcanic national park, where we visited various areas, including the lava fields on the backside. The day concluded with a walk through a lava tube.
The pickup process was smooth and punctual. Don took us along the best paths for photo opportunities and local food. The transportation was pleasant—clean and comfortable. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the islands and all our stops.
