We are from Ontario and took a two-week driving trip around the maritimes for our vacation this year, which included several wonderful experiences. The highlight was definitely the J. Farwell “wine and cheese evening cruise” in Halifax. Our captain, Andrew, was not only friendly and competent but also incredibly knowledgeable about the area and sailing. We felt both safe and comfortable throughout the cruise. He provided us with great insights into the region's history. The wine and cheese served by Mitch was delightful; he was entertaining and well-informed about the selections. Mitch was also an excellent sailor, greatly enhancing our experience. When we visit the area again, we'll be sure to book another cruise with J. Farewell Sailing.

I had an excellent sunset cruise with Captain Ryan. It was nice to be on a lovely sailboat with just a few guests, unlike the crowded larger boats we saw. Emerson poured us some fantastic local wines, and while we were allowed to bring snacks, the food provided was more than enough. I brought some chocolate that complemented the red wine well. I highly recommend this experience.
