Experiencing Halifax’s culinary landscape firsthand was fantastic. Emre was an excellent guide, leading us to some outstanding spots. I highly recommend this tour.
Emre, our tour guide, was outstanding and punctual, meeting us right where instructed. He shared extensive knowledge about Halifax, Nova Scotia, as we enjoyed a private tour along the Harbor walk and beyond, visiting five food spots. The first stop was McKelvies for the best seafood chowder we've ever tasted, and Emre explained its preparation in detail. We strolled to admire local art before trying a Donair—a Halifax specialty consisting of spiced ground beef, sliced and served in pita with tomatoes, onions, and a unique sauce. It was delicious. Next, we visited the Waterfront Warehouse for three types of oysters. Although it was my first time trying them, I found them enjoyable. We had a pleasant conversation while relaxing there. A short walk brought us to Dave's Lobster for a choice between warm or cold lobster rolls; we opted for the warm one and found it delightful. Finally, we returned to enjoy fantastic ice cream and sorbet at Cows Ice Cream, a charming place filled with cow-themed gifts. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with Emre, whom I highly recommend as a guide. The tour was lovely.
I had an incredible time on the food tour with Emre, who is among the most remarkable guides I've encountered. We began with a walk by the harbor, where he shared captivating tales of Halifax’s history and highlighted some notable art pieces in the city. Our first stop was McKelvie’s, a historic venue where we tasted a delightful seafood chowder that perfectly set the tone for our journey. Next, we went to a spot known for one of the best Donairs I've ever had, while Emre explained the origins of shawarma and Mediterranean dishes. For seafood enthusiasts, we enjoyed fresh oysters from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island, each exhibiting a unique flavor. I also tried my first warm lobster sandwich here, which was a memorable and distinct taste. The tour concluded with a delicious scoop of ice cream from COWS, which I firmly believe is the best ice cream in Canada.
A great way to gain knowledge while enjoying a diverse selection of food. Our tour guide, Emry, was both friendly and well-informed.
The food tour offered a wonderful selection of local Halifax cuisine. We never felt hurried and savored each delicious dish. Our guide, Emre, was exceptional and shared insightful information about the area's history.
This food tour was an incredible experience. Our guide was outstanding, very knowledgeable about the area, and patient with my limited mobility. The food stops were tasty, and we strongly recommend this tour.
Arrive with an appetite. The dishes we tried were delightful, and the eateries we went to were inviting, with friendly and helpful staff.
Our food tour with Emre was absolutely fantastic. At each stop, we received fascinating historical and informational insights that only a dedicated guide could provide. The food was also incredibly tasty.
Emre was fantastic. He stepped in last minute when the original guide fell ill, and despite starting a bit later than planned, everything turned out great. The food was exceptional, and Emre provided insightful information about the history of the streets and sites we explored. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed the walking food tour. Our guide Emre was not only friendly but also well-informed, managing every part of the tour with skill and efficiency. The food was fantastic as well. We highly recommend this experience.
