Four hours in a private vehicle — coastal drive to Peggy’s Cove, Titanic Cemetery visit, and Citadel Hill exploration with local driver-guide.
This private four-hour tour offers cruise guests and short-stay visitors a concise exploration of Halifax’s highlights. Starting with a scenic 50-minute coastal drive to Peggy’s Cove, you'll pass picturesque fishing villages and lakes before spending an hour at the famous lighthouse and granite rocks of this charming seaside village.
On the return to Halifax, stop for 20 minutes at the Titanic Victims Cemetery, where your guide shares poignant stories about the city’s historical ties to the tragedy. Next, your tour includes 30 minutes at the historic Citadel Hill, allowing time to explore its ramparts, visit the barracks, and take in sweeping views of the harbor. The tour concludes with drop-off either at the vibrant Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk or at your original location.
Reviews
I really enjoyed this private tour; it exceeded my expectations. We had just the right amount of time to explore the main attractions in and around Halifax. Ziyan was incredibly knowledgeable and welcoming.
We chose a private tour that included Peggy’s Cove, the Citadel, the Titanic Cemetery, and the waterfront. Although we didn’t have enough time for the Citadel due to our extended stay at other locations, the entire day was thoroughly enjoyable. I strongly recommend this tour, the company, and Al as your guide if you have the chance to have him.
During my cruise stop in Halifax, I opted for a tour to explore the broader region. It was an excellent choice. Claudio greeted us at the cruise terminal and guided us to Peggy’s Cove and the Titanic cemetery. His extensive knowledge of Halifax and its history was impressive. In addition to the scheduled stops, he also showed us some hidden gems away from the usual tourist spots, which was wonderful. This tour was truly fantastic, and I would highly recommend it.
Al provided an exceptionally personalized history and overview of Halifax and the surrounding areas. We appreciated his unique insights and informative remarks. We would highly recommend him for a tour.
Al was an excellent guide. He added an additional stop at a lobster retailer and adjusted the itinerary to make the most of our time.
Peggy’s Cove was stunning, and the cemetery was quite intriguing. However, I found this private tour lacking as the guide mostly drove without engaging much. I've had better experiences on other private tours where guides were more interactive and informative, so this trip fell short for me.
Our guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable, and took the time to connect with us like an old friend. We visited the Titanic graves, where he shared stories about some of them, and he allowed us ample time at Peggy’s Cove. The old fort visit was also enjoyable; he truly excelled as a guide.
The driver was friendly and knowledgeable. Although the weather was less than ideal, he worked hard to maintain a positive atmosphere during the experience.
Al provided an excellent tour for us. We visited Peggy's Cove, explored the town, took a coastal drive, and admired King's College and the autumn colors. We also learned about the Titanic. Al was both friendly and knowledgeable.
