Our day kicked off at 6:30 am, and by 8 am, we had already spotted eight bears fishing. We also encountered around 30 bald eagles and enjoyed a tour of Haines. Tom Ganner was an outstanding tour guide during our visit to Haines. He picked my wife, father-in-law, and me up from the ferry and took us to some fantastic locations for bear and eagle photography. Our family had a wonderful experience in Haines, thanks to Mr. Tom Ganner. He greeted us at the ferry terminal and served as an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and warm, he showcased his lovely city, highlighting both its cultural significance and nearby State Parks. The highlight was definitely the stunning scenery and our amazing sighting of Lulu, the big brown bear, along with her four cubs as they swam and fished in the river.
