• You will be collected from your hotel in Guwahati in the morning for a 3-hour journey to Shillong, which is 60 miles away. A breakfast stop will be made along the way (beverage not included). Upon arrival in Shillong, the tour begins with a visit to the scenic Umiam Lake, which is popular for kayaking and boating. • Next, travel to Elephant Falls and enjoy the sound of water flowing down the mountains. This site is one of the natural highlights of North-East India. • Proceed to Shillong Peak, the highest point in Shillong at 6,449 ft, offering stunning panoramic views of the town, Himalayan ranges, waterfalls, and the Bangladesh plains. Lunch will be taken at a local restaurant (beverage not included). • After lunch, explore Ward’s Lake, a horseshoe-shaped manmade lake located in the town center, surrounded by lush gardens and unique trees. Stroll across the beautiful white wooden bridge and discover the lake's other side. • The final stop on the itinerary is the Don Bosco Center for Indigenous Cultures, a large seven-story building housing information on the seven states of North-Eastern India. It features 17 galleries of cultural artifacts and artworks, as well as a diverse collection of regional clothing, crafts, jewelry, photographs, and weapons. The center is located within the Sacred Heart Church complex and is overseen by the Salesian Order of the Catholic Church. At the conclusion of the tour, you will be taken back to Guwahati and dropped off at your hotel.
