I found this experience to be worthwhile, though I wish we could have explored more sites. One day is insufficient to see all 12 attractions, as we only managed to visit two. The USS Alabama was impressive in size, and being on the ship was fantastic. The Maritime Museum offered a fun look inside a cargo trailer and revealed how things functioned. I would suggest that anyone visiting should plan for more time and consider purchasing tickets for two or more days.
The process was straightforward and offered the best pricing. It was very convenient to buy and redeem, and there was an excellent variety of attractions available to select from.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We first visited the history museum in Mobile, then went to Colonial Fort Conde, followed by the railroad museum in Foley, which is perfect for kids and train enthusiasts. Our final stop was the USS Alabama battleship museum. The city pass is definitely recommended and is worth it.
The USS Alabama battleship was incredible and highly educational; I really enjoyed the experience. We also explored Blakely State Park, where we rode e-bikes around the area, making for a fantastic way to see it.
Everything went smoothly at all locations. I mainly had to show my phone with the pass displayed in the Alabama tourism app, and they signed me in without any issues.
The app is user-friendly, and we encountered no issues while using it to explore various attractions. With a little planning, it becomes straightforward to cluster sites together, as this small city offers minimal challenges in getting to any location.
Be cautious with your dates, as many places don't operate every day. I bought this to visit multiple sites, but several were closed on the day we planned to go, and we weren’t informed of this during our purchase. We only discovered this when trying to organize our itinerary the night before, so it was too late for a refund. I feel it was a waste of money.
Be sure to have your digital wallet prepared before your visit, and confirm that the aquarium receives your information, as they are experiencing issues with their setup.
I purchased the pass in January for April 9th. When I attempted to use it, the 'get tickets' link directed me to the app, which stated that I had no tickets. I have asked for a refund.
In two days, we visited the aquarium, Bellingrath Gardens, Holmes Medical Museum, Foley Railroad Museum, and USS Alabama Battleship Memorial. All were enjoyable, but you don’t need the pass for the railroad and medical museums. The staff were very friendly, and I had a great time.
