Our trip on the Island Princess was quite enjoyable. While we were let down by the declining food quality, the service, staff friendliness, food presentation, and entertainment were all excellent. The itinerary was impressive too. We took an independent tour with Tours of Guernsey, which was exceptional. Our guide was knowledgeable, amicable, and professional. We explored the German Underground Hospital, a WWII museum, and the Little Chapel. Although the Little Chapel was closed upon our arrival, our guide kindly checked when it would reopen, allowing us to return to see it. Others from the Princess tour who arrived later missed that chance. It's unfortunate that Princess has decided to remove Guernsey from its itinerary, as the island is not only fascinating and beautiful, but its residents are also exceptionally welcoming. We sincerely hope Princess reconsiders and includes Guernsey again, as we would love to visit once more. In Portland, UK, we booked the Jurassic Coast Adventure with Dorset Tours, a relatively new company that strives to deliver an excellent experience of the stunning coast, Weymouth, and Portland. Our guide Spencer was outstanding—friendly, informative, and professional. I highly recommend booking a tour with Dorset Tours.
This destination is a true gem, offering stunning scenery, lovely beaches, and plenty to explore, along with excellent food. We've visited multiple times and look forward to returning. The locals are welcoming, and the transportation options are convenient.
The tour was part of our cruise and included a stop in Guernsey. Unfortunately, we didn't have ample time to explore the port. However, the Little Chapel near the airport was impressive. We noticed some beautiful beaches that would have been nice to visit if time allowed. The remnants of gun bunkers, including a large gun, were interesting, and the views from that site were also worthwhile.
