We chose the driving option and were disappointed. Locating the starting point was quite confusing, and the initial directions were overwhelming. Additionally, we found ourselves in congested areas that made driving challenging, requiring multiple turns to navigate correctly. I cannot recommend this experience for enjoyment.
We went on the walking tour but be aware that the correct starting location is not the address listed on the website, which is Greenville Health at Swamp Rabbit Trail. Instead, it's under clue 2 in the city. Once we arrived and began, the experience was wonderful. We explored areas of the city that were new to us and took our time, making several stops along the way. We would definitely try different versions of this tour in the future.
We opted for the walking tour version. Initially, the directions led us to the beginning of the Swamp Rabbit Trail by the zoo, requiring a 30-minute walk to reach the first stop. Instead, we chose to drive into town and parked at the actual first stop. Unfortunately, the experience felt disconnected from Greenville itself. We could have accomplished the entire activity from home, aside from the trivia questions, which seemed unrelated to the mystery and were mainly about reading street signs near the stops. The mystery was decent, but each "interview" took a while as we stood on a busy sidewalk. On the bright side, it did encourage us to get outside, and we discovered a new business along the way.
My daughter and I truly appreciated the experience. While the occasional cursing was unnecessary, it was minimal, and the information kept us engaged. The duration was just right too.
We had a great time unraveling the mysteries. We managed to identify the right suspect! Visiting every location isn’t essential since the app provides plenty of useful information.
This murder mystery experience is not at all what was advertised. The first location had no billboard, and the second was merely a parking lot. There were no clues to discover, and when we called, we learned there weren't any. It turned out to be more about sightseeing than solving a mystery. Due to this misleading information, we received a refund.
I didn't attend since there was no assistance available. The staff seemed unhelpful given how large Greenville is. I'm requesting a refund.
