Moderate hike exploring white water cascades and hidden waterfalls, seasonal highlights include wildflowers and autumn foliage.
This guided hiking tour takes you through some of the most picturesque sections of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Starting on a more popular trail to warm up, the group will then venture onto a lesser-known path where you'll encounter beautiful cascades and waterfalls. The elevation gain and varied terrain means expect to climb over downed trees and navigate wet areas.
Depending on the season, you’ll experience the park’s diverse beauty: glimpse the surrounding mountains in winter, enjoy vibrant wildflowers in spring, find refreshing swimming spots in summer, or marvel at the autumn leaves. The park requires parking tags for vehicles stopping longer than 15 minutes, so bear that in mind before your visit.

We had a fantastic snowy morning hike with our guide Kelly, who was not only knowledgeable but also enjoyable to be around. I would definitely recommend this experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our adventure on the stunning trails, indulging in the delightful tastes of nature. Our guide, Chini, was fantastic, radiating knowledge and enthusiasm. If you're considering this tour, I strongly recommend Chini. Just be aware that the terrain can be somewhat demanding, so come ready for steps and hills. Every moment was a joy. It’s truly worth it.
It was a fantastic experience and definitely worthwhile, especially for first-time visitors to the Smokies. Our guide, Samantha, was incredibly knowledgeable and very pleasant.
Michael, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the area. He engaged us in interesting conversations and addressed all of our inquiries. I always felt safe, as he instructed us on how to navigate the natural obstacles we encountered along the way.
Luci was an excellent tour guide, demonstrating a deep understanding of the area and matching our hiking skill level perfectly. We frequent this place, but she provided fresh insights that enhanced our experience.
Our group of seven, which included four adults and three kids aged 8 and up, had an amazing time on our hike with A Walk in the Woods. The guide was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the area, the park, and the wildlife. The hike was stunning, even in early spring. Although we went on two other hikes during our stay, hiring a guide for this one was definitely a worthwhile decision.
This hike far surpassed our expectations, thanks to our guide Kelly. With a science degree and a deep knowledge of the area she grew up in, she identified all the flowers, trees, and rock formations with enthusiasm. Her passion for the surroundings made the experience a perfect 10/10. When we come back, we will definitely book another adventure with her.
Despite the rain throughout our tour, Kelly maintained an upbeat and positive attitude. She has extensive knowledge about the area's history, plants, and landmarks. The scenery was beautiful, and the waterfall was breathtaking. We strongly recommend this tour.
This hike was stunning, and our guide Kelly provided a wealth of information about the local history, wildlife, and vegetation. The waterfall was breathtaking. I suggest wearing durable footwear and bringing water.
