We arranged this outing during a five-day couples retreat and stayed near Glenwood Springs, which is an easy drive off I-70. I would suggest this experience for stunning views and an enjoyable way to spend time. The scenery is breathtaking, and it was a great experience overall. In our 30s, the trails were manageable, but I would advise caution for those with back issues or older participants. The only downside was the pricing; at over $300 for two hours, I believe gratuity should be included. Our guide was knowledgeable and had a wonderful personality; I would have liked to tip, but the total cost felt sufficient considering the time, equipment, and fuel expenses. It would be better if the gratuity option wasn't presented at the end of the tour, as it came across as uncomfortable. They might consider adjusting the guide's pay structure instead.
We had an incredible experience. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the ranch's geology and history, which made the tour very impressive and informative. The trails offered a variety of challenges—uphill, downhill, mud, rocks, and technical climbing. It was fantastic. If we return to the area, we will certainly do this again.
