They took my payment and confirmed a visit for January 1st, but they were aware they wouldn't be open. Disappointing experience.
A charming small museum. While it isn't large, it offers some intriguing exhibits.
This tour comes highly recommended. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also engaging, managing to captivate both our history enthusiast son and the rest of us. He truly made the entire experience come alive, allowing us to appreciate the significance of those eventful days. You won't get this kind of insight on your own. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to try this tour and enlist their services.
Our guide Erik, who is a natural educator and a wonderful individual, took my wife and me on an unforgettable journey exploring the history, locations, key figures, and dramatic events of Gettysburg Battlefield. It was worth every cent and then some.
I scheduled three two-hour tours, requesting that Tour 1 cover the battles of day one, Tour 2 focus on day two, and Tour 3 on day three of Gettysburg. Our guide, Bill T, was exceptional. He had extensive knowledge of all the significant events, and his explanations were clear and easy to grasp. Bill truly brought the essence of the battles alive. Great experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Paul, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, shared his invaluable insights on battle strategies, enhancing our experience as he took us through the battlefield. His impressive knowledge and engaging storytelling truly brought history alive, and he was very patient with our questions. I strongly suggest opting for the extended 3-hour tour to fully appreciate this crucial moment in U.S. history. We gained a lot from Paul's narration about the events of Gettysburg during those three days in July 1863 and their importance as a turning point in the Civil War.
The exhibits were outstanding, featuring impressive 3D images, and the films provided valuable information. It was both a highly enjoyable and educational experience.
Chris, the tour guide, was extremely well-informed and enhanced the overall experience.
Our time in Gettysburg was fantastic, aside from the chilly and overcast weather. The location of our accommodation was convenient for nearly all attractions we wished to see. The room was tidy and the beds provided good comfort. We participated in a three-hour guided driving tour with an informative guide, and we would have gladly extended it by another hour. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.
I gained a lot from my visit to this museum. The film was fantastic, and I found the cellar to be quite frightening.
