Reviews
This tour was an excellent introduction to the entire Gettysburg experience. Carter, our guide, was an outstanding liaison throughout.
The tour involved a brief walk along the sidewalk visiting a few haunted spots and sharing some associated stories, along with stops at bars. I expected it to focus more on haunted pubs. While our guide was pleasant and well-informed about history, he didn’t seem particularly interested in the ghost aspect. I wouldn’t choose this tour again.
This tour was a fantastic way to kick off our evening. Having experienced ghost tours before, we appreciated the addition of visiting several pubs along with the ghost stories. Our small group of six was guided by someone with a history degree who was well-versed in the topic, though I regret I didn’t catch his name. We enjoyed drinks at O'Rourkes and Gettysburg Eddies, though the other location was closed that evening. We explored interesting upper areas at Dobbins as well. Throughout the tour, we heard captivating ghost stories connected to our stops and the nearby area. There was no sense of being hurried, and we enjoyed sharing our own supernatural encounters.
Patricia Quick was an engaging and well-informed guide. We really appreciated her insights into how the war affected the residents of Gettysburg, as well as the intriguing tales of the ghosts that are said to haunt the area.
The Boos and Booze walking tour in downtown Gettysburg included visits to several historical sites, where the guide shared accounts of past tragedies and ghostly encounters. While our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, her nervousness led to delays, allowing us only one stop at a bar and a rushed finish. We enjoyed meeting others on the tour, but ultimately felt the experience did not provide good value for the price. With more experience, I believe the tour could improve significantly.
Richard had a wealth of knowledge regarding the Civil War and Gettysburg. However, if you're seeking a ghost tour or pub crawl, this isn't it. He was very friendly and shared many interesting historical facts.
Richard was incredibly professional and very knowledgeable. We had a great time with him and I would definitely recommend this experience.
The tour guide was incredibly friendly and well-informed. My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. He shared numerous fascinating stories about Gettysburg and the pubs we explored.
I had high hopes for this tour based on a friend's recommendation, but it didn't match the description at all. Although our guide was pleasant, she seemed unaware that drinks were included. I expected to hear some historical context along with ghost stories, but we received neither. Afterward, I checked one of the facts she provided and found it was incorrect. The tour felt poorly organized, as we just wandered the same area, and it seemed like the guide was more focused on filling the time than providing worthwhile content. I regret spending $70 on this experience and would prefer a refund.
Richard was not only polite but also very well-informed. I truly enjoyed the experience.
