This half-day hiking tour takes you through Soberania National Park, a crucial area for the functioning of the Panama Canal, noted for its lush rainforest and tributaries feeding Gatun Lake. Along the route, you'll see the former Canal Zone, pass by the Pedro Miguel Locks, cross the Centenario Bridge, and pay respect at the French Cemetery, which commemorates the canal workers.
Led by a bilingual guide, the hike offers opportunities to spot various wildlife such as birds, monkeys, butterflies, and frogs, all while receiving insights into the park's rich biodiversity. Be prepared for a nature-rich experience and wear sturdy walking shoes suitable for uneven terrain.

Nikolas served as a fantastic guide, clearly explaining everything in a professional manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone. This experience was both memorable and educational.
The experience was enjoyable and scenic. Our guide was friendly and provided valuable insights about the local environment.
The hike in Soberania Park was excellent. We explored two trails and encountered numerous indigenous species and animals. Christian was an outstanding guide, and we strongly recommend this hiking excursion.
Nico, our guide with a Biology degree, provided us with impressive insights into the local fauna and flora during our hike. He made the drive engaging by discussing Panama's history, geography, anthropology, and culture. As an exceptional hiking guide, he spotted various animals, birds, insects, and plants that we would have missed otherwise. Over the course of three hours on an easy path, we encountered 10 bird species, including the Collared Aracari, Yellow-Headed Caracara, and several types of Trogon. We also observed a group of Howler Monkeys, multiple Three-Toed Sloths, and numerous agouti. Nico highlighted the countless leaf-cutter ants, termites, and millipedes as well. We even spotted tiny fish and large river crabs. His professional camera helped us see animals high in the canopy, and he kindly provided binoculars to share. The only downside was that the tour description mentioned included water, so we didn't bring our own, leading us to purchase bottles along the way. Despite this, the hike was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it.
The hike offered a fantastic educational experience. We observed various bird species, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, and even a couple of agoutis. Our guide provided insights about the animals and plants we saw and was also very knowledgeable about Panama, addressing numerous questions.
The experience involved walking on a road rather than a trail, which detracted from the wilderness feel, especially with cars passing by. Overall, it didn’t seem worth the cost.
Christian was an outstanding guide who exceeded our expectations. His extensive knowledge about the area and wildlife was impressive. The walk was gentle enough for my 71-year-old parents, thanks to the flat terrain and frequent stops for wildlife sightings. I strongly recommend this experience, as having a guide made it truly memorable.
This was a pleasant family adventure with a mostly flat and shaded hike, although it was still warm. We encountered many howler monkeys and different bird species along the way.
Our hike through Soberania National Park with Christian was truly memorable. He guided us in spotting howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, coatimundi, agouti, and a variety of birds. The trek can be long and hot, so it's wise to prepare the kids and communicate their limits to the guide. Don't forget to bring water and snacks. I highly recommend starting early. While a guide isn't essential, having one definitely enhanced our experience.
The experience in the jungle near Panama City was outstanding, with plenty of wildlife and an exceptional guide who was very knowledgeable.
