This tour was fantastic, featuring a knowledgeable guide. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Panama City.
This tour offers a fantastic opportunity to experience the canal and lake up close. We encountered three types of monkeys and enjoyed feeding them mango and banana, which was definitely the highlight. The rainforest walk is quite hot, so it's wise to carry water or purchase some at stops. We also enjoyed lunch at the fish market as per our request, and sharing fried fish with guides Hector and Diego made it even more enjoyable. We learned a great deal throughout the day.
It was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Hector, and our driver, Diego, were both very friendly. Hector had extensive knowledge about the animals, plants, and canals. We captured incredible photos of wildlife and gained a deep understanding of the canal's history. Overall, it exceeded our expectations.
Hector, Diego, and Brian were exceptionally kind throughout our tour. Hector provided extensive knowledge about the canal and the wildlife, while Diego and Brian contributed valuable insights as well. The weather was pleasant, sunny and comfortably warm. Although we had hoped to see more wildlife, we understand that this can vary. We did encounter several species of monkeys, birds, and even some caimans. Additionally, we enjoyed a lovely lunch with a view of the river.
I had a great day exploring with our guide, Juan, who was very knowledgeable about the local nature, including the area's animals, trees, and flowers. We spotted numerous monkeys during the boat tour and had short hikes in Sobernia.
This tour offers an excellent opportunity to explore Panama's ecological landscape. If you're a nature enthusiast eager to see wildlife and plants while avoiding stereotypical tourist experiences, this is the ideal choice. Our guide, Juan, was both knowledgeable and insightful throughout the day, and the small group setting enhanced the experience. Juan collected us from our hotel at a convenient time, and we traveled a short distance to Gambia, where we learned about local wildlife and observed several animals. We also enjoyed lunch at a local restaurant away from the tourist spots. It was truly a wonderful experience.
Juan was an informative and friendly guide. We encountered and learned about several types of wildlife. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Hector is an exceptional guide, and this tour is absolutely the way to see animals in the country while gaining deeper insights about the region. It's likely the best tour I experienced during my time in the city. I highly recommend it for nature and animal lovers.
We had the pleasure of being guided by Juan, who was kind and attentive, accommodating our request for a minor change to the itinerary, which we greatly appreciated. The highlight of our experience was certainly the boat ride—it was stunning and awe-inspiring. We enjoyed the contrast of nature alongside the large cruise ships. During the trip, we spotted three types of monkeys, various birds, and even an iguana, which was wonderful. However, we were somewhat let down by the hiking portion. We expected a more immersive jungle experience on small, narrow trails, but instead, the hike took place on a wide gravel road shared by pedestrians and vehicles, making wildlife encounters unlikely. We did hear howler monkeys in the distance, which was impressive. Overall, it was a lovely half-day adventure. Thank you.
The trip was excellently organized and well-timed. Juan provided us with a wealth of knowledge about wildlife, animals, history, and culture, sharing intriguing information throughout. We encountered a variety of wildlife and biodiversity that Panama has to offer. We highly recommend this half-day exploration with Juan. As a family of two adults and a 9-year-old, we appreciated Juan's kindness and patience in addressing our child's questions.
