It greatly surpassed what we anticipated. Having participated in similar bike tours globally, I can confidently say this one stands out. The route was excellent, the scenery was beautiful, and the wine was exceptional.
L.A. was an outstanding guide during our ride through the vineyards. His knowledge of the region added so much to the experience. I would definitely do this again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely day out.
We were fortunate to have the best weather of our week in the Cape Town area on the day we visited Franschoek for our bike tour. Upon arrival, we found Albi ready with our bikes and snacks. The breathtaking scenery and leisurely ride through several wine estates, highlighted by an extended stop with an incredible cheese platter, made for an enjoyable way to explore the region. Albi was both entertaining and knowledgeable, and discussing his experiences living in South Africa was a true highlight. I highly recommend visiting Franschoek and participating in a Bikes 'N Wines tour.
We set off with our guide Keenan on a cool May morning. He frequently paused to share insights about the sights we encountered. Our first winery was La Bri, where we enjoyed wine paired with chocolate, and the knowledgeable staff member there was quite friendly. At our second stop, Rickety Bridge was bustling, but the staff remained welcoming. We pedaled by some luxurious wine estates, discovering parts of Franschhoek we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Overall, it was a solid cycling tour.
Keenan and Abi led our family of four on a bike tour through Franschhoek, stopping at three estates and sharing engaging insights along the way. It was a truly enjoyable day, and I strongly recommend this experience.
This was a fantastic experience, and our guide Keegan was incredible—knowledgeable, patient, and extremely friendly. We highly recommend him for this bike tour.
I had a wonderful time riding through the nature and vineyards with friends. Our guide, Walter, shared extensive knowledge about the area's history and natural beauty. The bikes were well-adjusted, and we received clear instructions prior to starting the tour. Since there are no official bike lanes, wearing a helmet is required, but as an experienced cyclist, I found this to be manageable.
We had a wonderful day cycling through the scenic Franschhoek area. We sampled wines at two vineyards and enjoyed a picturesque ride past many others. Carlo, our guide, maintained great energy and provided encouragement as we tackled the hills. His insights into the region's history and wine were greatly appreciated. One member of our group didn’t drink, and they were seamlessly accommodated; both wineries offered non-alcoholic options without us needing to ask. This thoughtful detail made the experience enjoyable for everyone. It was an engaging way to stay active, explore the charming town, and learn along the journey.
Geraldo was friendly and well-informed about the area and its wineries. This tour offered an excellent way to explore the vineyards and the town actively. I highly recommend it over taking the tram.
