Two hours of walking through the Stockyards — Texas BBQ, Tex-Mex, local craft beers, and dessert from family-run spots and popular venues.
This two-hour guided food tour takes you through the historic Fort Worth Stockyards, where you can enjoy tastings at some of the area’s local culinary spots. Begin with smoky Texas BBQ from a family-run establishment that's been serving slow-cooked meats since 1927, followed by authentic Tex-Mex made from time-honoured recipes.
You will also visit Second Rodeo Brewing for craft beers brewed on-site, complemented by light bites. Expect a combination of flavorful food and local history as your guide shares stories of the Wild West and the cattle drives that shaped Fort Worth. Remember to wear comfortable shoes for a leisurely stroll along the iconic brick streets and wooden corrals.

The area is lively and enjoyable, with excellent food at each stop. There’s also an interesting touch of stockyards history. Our guide was well-informed and attentive to our needs. The location was easy to find, and the walking distances were short and manageable.
Exploring the Stockyard was an amazing experience. Our guide had a wealth of knowledge, and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Tiffany, our guide, was both knowledgeable and engaging, managing unexpected challenges with great professionalism. Her adaptability ensured a smooth tour while effectively conveying the rich history of the Stockyards. It was well-paced, informative, and I highly recommend it.
Tiffany was an excellent host and guide, demonstrating a deep knowledge of the area. Despite delays from the holiday weekend following Valentine's Day, the food was delicious and the restaurants were outstanding.
The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared numerous fascinating stories during the experience. The food servings were just right, showcasing a wonderful blend of Tex-Mex dishes. My top pick was the chicken fried steak slider from the Brand Room. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting an in-depth look at the Stockyards' vibrant history and culture.
The tour did not match the one we had booked months earlier, as we were informed a week before that the date and restaurants had changed. On the day, we had two guides—Scott was very knowledgeable and provided excellent information, while the other, who was new, offered only basic details, which was disappointing. There was quite a bit of waiting because the venues were not fully ready for us. Additionally, there was an excessive amount of time spent on group photos. Although I’m glad we participated, I felt we didn’t gain as much insight about the area compared to other tours.
The tour was incredibly enjoyable. The food was excellent, and Scott was engaging, sharing fascinating insights about the rich history of the Stockyards.
Along with sampling various local dishes, we enjoyed many intriguing stories about the area's history.
The food tour of the Fort Worth Stockyards offered an excellent glimpse into the Wild West within a few short hours. It was rich in history, featuring a cattle run, mouthwatering traditional foods, dessert, and live music.
I had a fantastic time in the Stockyards with Scott. It was great meeting new people from various parts of the world while enjoying tasty food and learning about the history of the Stockyards. Arrive early to catch the cattle drive!
