  The Tour You Didn’t Know You NEEDED!

  We took a barbecue and brew tour with Carrie for my husband’s birthday, and it turned out to be an exceptional afternoon. From the start, Carrie was communicative and accommodating. She requested a bit of flexibility regarding our start time, which was no problem for us, and kept us updated about transportation and what to expect. This thoughtful approach set a positive tone immediately. Her vehicle was spacious, exceptionally clean, and comfortable. Though we’ve been living in Fort Worth for about six years as newcomers from California, we had never considered a city tour. This experience completely transformed that perspective. Carrie provided insights at every stop and answered our random questions, giving us a deeper understanding of the city’s history and helping us feel more connected to our community. It made us reflect on our kids and their future connection to this place. That aspect was truly meaningful. The food was beyond incredible. We first stopped at Smokaholics BBQ, where the flavors were remarkable, reminiscent of home-cooked meals with a Southern barbecue and soul food blend. It was heavenly. I was so captivated by the first bite that I wanted to savor every flavor! Next, we visited Panther City BBQ, recognized by Michelin, and the greens there were hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. I plan to figure out that recipe. The brisket elote was also outstanding, showcasing hours of perfect smoking that infused rich flavors into every bite. One of the owners took the time to greet us, adding warmth and connection to our visit. Carrie's personality truly elevated our experience. She introduced us to people at each location, making us feel like we belonged rather than just being tourists. Her genuine enthusiasm for her town and its stories, both the good and the challenging, shone through. She is actively part of the town’s evolving narrative. She tailored the experience just for us, creating a sense of intentionality and personal connection that was significant. You really have to experience it to grasp its full impact. Meeting the vendors and hearing their stories added to the authenticity of the experience. Gaining insights into their processes and beer-making created a beautiful sense of reality. I now feel inspired to explore my local favorites more often. Carrie also shared many other recommendations based on her insights and experience. To top it off, she included a special treat at the end that was a delightful surprise. This experience deserves a perfect 10 out of 10. Carrie is doing something remarkable and is pioneering tourism in Fort Worth in an unexpected way. You wouldn't assume that a Fort Worth tour could be one of the best days of your life, but it truly was. We’re already planning to revisit every place we experienced and have been recommending this tour to friends, family, and neighbors incessantly. This journey is unique and suitable for anyone, regardless of background or group size. You definitely don't want to miss out on this.
