I booked directly with a Miami tour operator on Lincoln Avenue. The tour was either a morning or afternoon bus trip, with commentary provided only in English. It included a brief 20-minute motorboat ride where we saw four alligators. Overall, I found the experience lacking.
This tour was truly outstanding! Our guide Lindsay was excellent, providing an informative walk where we spotted various bird species and numerous alligators, including babies. The airboat ride added to the excitement, and we encountered even more alligators and spoonbills. It was a fantastic day that surpassed our expectations, and I would highly recommend it!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Everglades. Our guide, Ryan, was incredibly knowledgeable and obviously passionate about the Everglades, making the experience even more enjoyable for us.
Our guide, Addy, was fantastic—very friendly and willing to answer all our questions. We encountered numerous alligators, turtles, and herons on our walk, which I enjoyed, although I would have preferred a longer duration since it gets hot quickly. The bugs were bothersome for some, so it's advisable to use bug repellent. The airboat tour was decent; we spotted more birds, but it didn’t feel worthwhile after seeing the alligators during the walk. I had hoped we would venture deeper into the Everglades, but we mainly stayed along the canal. I also expected to visit some Indian villages, which didn’t happen. That may have been my misunderstanding. Overall, I'm unsure if I would suggest this tour.
The tour is quick but filled with great sights. If I'm back in Miami, I would love to experience the full-day tour.
