Reviews
Be sure to wear good shoes, bring water, and have a sense of curiosity. While the activity may seem pricey, it offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the history of Martinique.
I had an excellent time with Manuel exploring Martinique and sampling local foods. I highly recommend this if you have a few hours to spare.
Our experience with Manuel as our tour guide was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, humorous, and very accommodating, providing us with valuable insights into the local culture.
The tour guide was excellent—knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about Martinique. I gained a lot of insight into the island's history and culture, which was the best part of the tour. However, I found the food aspect disappointing. As a tour promoted for its culinary offerings, there was far too little actual food involved. It felt more like a historical walking tour with some tastings rather than a genuine food experience. If you're keen on history and sightseeing, this tour will likely appeal to you. However, if your main interest is food, it might be wise to temper your expectations.
Florence delivered an outstanding tour experience. We appreciated visiting historical and cultural sites, and sampling local food and drinks as part of the itinerary.
It was an excellent tour; I appreciate it!
Joanna proved to be a fantastic tour guide, and our experience with her was incredibly enjoyable. Her knowledge and enthusiasm stood out, and the food we sampled was delightful. We departed with hopes of visiting Martinique again one day.
While the focus is more on cultural sites than on food, I found the experience intriguing. The guide was quite friendly and made us feel welcome.
I took this walking tour by myself and had a wonderful time overall. After making my booking, the team contacted me to confirm my cruise port details and provided clear meeting instructions, which simplified the process. Our guide, Camille, was considerate and even provided us with water. Although there was quite a bit of walking involved, each food stop offered tasty samples and allowed us to explore various local venues. One small issue arose at the rum tasting venue, where there wasn’t sufficient seating for our group, forcing us to stand off to the side while tasting. I would recommend adding more storytelling elements during the tour to create a more engaging atmosphere. Additionally, it would be helpful if some stops offered seating for a short time, considering the amount of walking involved. In summary, I truly enjoyed the experience and would certainly consider booking this tour again.
This tour was fantastic; the walk was manageable and allowed us to sample local treats. Despite the heat, our guide Camille kept us refreshed with water. It's likely not suitable for kids. Camille was knowledgeable, humorous, and personable. Having her as a guide ensures an enjoyable experience. She had excellent connections with the food vendors, especially at the vegetable market, which provided us with valuable insights about the local produce of Martinique. Overall, it was a wonderful tour.
