Reviews
We had an enjoyable first day discovering Fairbanks. Kevin proved to be an excellent tour guide, sharing plenty of interesting insights about the area's history, climate, and geography. We even got to see Santa. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour offers a fantastic overview of Fairbanks. We visited four attractions and had ample time to enjoy each one. The Santa Claus House was filled with various Christmas-themed items. The cultural center and museum provided a solid insight into Alaskan living, while Pioneer Park was perfect for immersing ourselves in the gold rush era.
Kevin was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the local area and its attractions. His personal stories from his life in Alaska enhanced the overall experience of the tour.
This tour was exceptional. Our driver and guide, Nate, who resides in Fairbanks, provided insights from a local perspective. He was personable, articulate, and clearly passionate about his work. At each stop, we felt no pressure to hurry, and his lunch suggestion resulted in some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The Cultural Center and University Museum showcased impressive displays, artifacts, and historical details, while the North Pole was a true representation of Christmas. I highly recommend this tour. The van was nearly new and impeccably clean. I hope you get Nate as your driver.
I would give it 4.5 stars. Kevin was a fantastic driver and host. Pioneer Park was just okay, with many shops closed due to the season's end, leaving limited activities. However, the other stops were fantastic.
Kevin served as an excellent tour guide, providing us with a wealth of information about Fairbanks. The university museum was truly impressive.
Kevin was a fantastic guide. His wealth of knowledge, helpfulness, patience, and great sense of humor made the experience memorable. I highly recommend this tour.
This tour offers a personalized experience in a small group setting. The guide supplied water and snacks while sharing his extensive knowledge. He even took photos of us with our phone. We had the chance to shop at the North Pole and visit the reindeer, along with ample time at the Museum of the North. We also saw the Alaskan Pipeline.
Nate, our guide, delivered a comprehensive and insightful tour of the Fairbanks region. Highlights included the Museum of the North, the Santa Claus House at the "North Pole," the Morris Thompson Cultural Center, the University of Alaska/Fairbanks, and Pioneer Park, plus a bonus stop to view the Alaskan pipeline. This was a fantastic and enjoyable beginning to our land tour and cruise vacation in this beautiful state.
We were fortunate to have Kevin as our tour guide for a private excursion, just the four of us—my husband, our two sons aged 19 and 21, and myself. Kevin was incredibly friendly and well-informed, providing an excellent overview of Fairbanks and its history. We visited all the major attractions, including the Thompson Cultural Visitors Center, Museum of the North, North Pole reindeer and Santa House, and Pioneer Park. Since our group was small and we had extra time, Kevin even took us to see the Alaskan Pipeline, which wasn't on our original schedule. He went above and beyond to tailor the tour to our interests, making additional stops along the way. I would highly recommend this experience.
