This rafting experience spans approximately three hours on the Rio de las Vueltas, beginning with serene waters perfect for enjoying the surrounding beauty of Patagonia's landscapes, including views of Cerro Fitz Roy and its nearby peaks. As you cover the first five kilometres, keep an eye out for local wildlife and birds that may share the river with you.
After the initial stretch, you’ll encounter your first rapid known as "Portage," followed by a thrilling series of rapids over the next ten kilometres. The guides ensure safety while providing an adrenaline-filled adventure that showcases the striking scenery from an exhilarating vantage point. Wear comfortable attire and be prepared for a wet ride.

This river trip was outstanding, and the guides were fantastic. As experienced rafters, we rate it highly! The river was operating at a level of 3+, with one section not reaching 5. It's a suitable adventure for all skill levels, and Lalita and Matteo, a father-son team, were both skilled and friendly. They provided excellent instruction for beginners. Don't worry about the weather; all the necessary gear is supplied during check-in.
This activity was incredibly enjoyable, and our professional guide really made it worthwhile, especially with someone in a kayak next to the boat for safety. However, it was disappointing to be charged an extra 20,000 (about $16) for photos taken by the guide, which somewhat detracted from the overall experience.
This is an experience that shouldn't be overlooked, offering a distinctive chance to view Fitz Roy from stunning perspectives. The river's rapids added excitement, and Loli, along with her children, guided us through the rafting with care and warmth. We had an absolute blast while feeling secure due to Loli's professionalism. This is a descent that suits all tourists, even first-timers in rafting. I highly recommend it.

Lloyd, our lead guide (also known as Papacito), and his exceptional team crafted an adventure that was safe, engaging, and incredibly enjoyable. Rafting on a glacier river was a fascinating adventure. It was thrilling, educational, and enjoyable. We expected it to be cold, but that was not the case. Our raft captains and assistant Tommy were both entertaining and professional, ensuring we understood the safety procedures. Overall, the experience surpassed our expectations, and we are pleased we chose Comarka for this activity.
I had a fantastic couple of hours that provided a unique perspective of the stunning landscape. The rapids exceeded my expectations, leaving everyone on the boat drenched. While we didn't come close to falling in, I can see how that might change with more rain. This activity was a great way to add some excitement between hiking days.
