The GuideAlong app was fantastic for us. It provided engaging information, history, and stories that made our trip enjoyable. We were well-informed about upcoming tour stops, allowing us to decide whether to pause or continue. Downloading it beforehand for areas without cell service was simple.
The itinerary for the round trip from Calgary was fantastic. One highlight was the stop at Glacier National Park in Montana, where we saw the continental divide. The tour provided ample opportunities to explore Calgary and the breathtaking parks, mountains, and lakes in the Canadian Rockies, featuring stunning scenery. Activities included a raft float, a boat ride, a gondola ride, and the ice explorer on the glaciers. This was our fifth trip with Caravan, and they consistently exceed expectations. Their prices are very reasonable. Our guide, Jocelyn, was exceptional, enhancing our journey with maps, history, and music while we traveled by coach. Traveling with Caravan is sure to be a rewarding experience.
We utilized this app for several days while exploring Banff, Lake Louise, and The Icefields Parkway. It led us to spots we might have otherwise overlooked, and the information provided was both entertaining and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed using it. We even named the narrator Larry, so if you’re driving and want a guided experience, just connect to Larry and you’ll catch every detail.
We utilized this app during our trip to Alberta, and it was fantastic. The insights provided were engaging and enhanced our driving experience. It operates effortlessly, using GPS to trigger stories and information as you explore. We've already purchased one for Colorado Rocky Mountain NP and plan to use it on all our travels.
The narrator was excellent, and the transitions between various segments of the Canadian Rockies were smooth. This audio tour outshines others we have experienced.
This guided tour enhanced our experience greatly. We downloaded the app and the free "Calgary to Banff" tour before leaving home. Once at the airport, we connected our phone to the rental car via Bluetooth and started our journey. The guide, whom we named Tom, provided timely commentary as we reached specific points, making it feel like there was a knowledgeable friend in the back seat. His straightforward instructions for reaching Banff eliminated the need for GPS distractions. Along the highway, he shared details about notable attractions and revealed hidden gems we might have otherwise overlooked, filling the longer stretches with engaging history and stories. Despite having to adjust our plans due to wildfires and other conditions, Tom continuously offered new adventures and pointed out spots along the main and lesser-known routes, including the Icefields Parkway and Yoho. For the hikes and crowded areas, we simply took our phone and earbuds, and Tom’s insights accompanied us wherever we explored. Due to fire restrictions, we couldn't travel north of the Saskatchewan River crossing, but we could still manually access Tom's commentary at each tour location using the app. While it wasn’t quite the same as experiencing them firsthand, it provided a glimpse of what we missed. The tour was fully downloadable, which meant we encountered no issues accessing it even without phone service. When it was finally time to return home, Tom guided us back to the Calgary airport. I highly recommend this experience.
Having this guide during our trip was fantastic. We learned numerous intriguing tips and facts that we would have overlooked otherwise. The narrator shared captivating history, geography, and nature details, along with some amusing stories. It really kept us engaged and made us want to explore longer to see everything mentioned. We loved it so much that we bought another guide for SW Alberta & Waterton to enhance our road trip experience.
The Icefields Parkway experience was incredible, and the narration significantly enhanced it. It was extremely helpful for identifying features that you might miss on your own. Highly recommend.
The guide was incredibly helpful and user-friendly, making it feel like we had a personal tour guide right in the car with us. This experience truly enhanced our trip.
I almost skipped downloading this app, which would have been a big mistake. While I had some trouble accessing it, the support team was incredibly helpful, allowing us to appreciate the commentary from Jasper to Banff, including Yoho. My detailed itinerary was enhanced by the app's rich historical insights and information. I strongly recommend it; it's definitely worth the investment. It feels like having a personal guide. I'm grateful to the fantastic staff for their assistance.
