Self-guided scavenger hunt across Edmonton — use an app to collect points while completing tasks at your own pace, supported by a remote host.
This interactive scavenger hunt in Edmonton allows you to explore the city on your own terms. Players use an app to select tasks and discover items scattered across various locations at their own pace. The goal is to maximise points and climb the leaderboard against other teams.
Participants receive guidance from a remote host available via chat throughout the game. This format encourages strategic thinking as you decide the best route. Make sure to charge your mobile device beforehand and wear comfortable clothing suitable for walking around the city.
Reviews
Watching my kids engage and enjoy the various challenges was a highlight. They really enjoyed the competitive aspect, as well as the freedom to be playful while solving some of the clues.
The hotel and the mall were wonderful, providing a comfortable experience. However, the long flight delay of six hours was somewhat stressful.
The scavenger hunt included around 60 items that weren't unique to Edmonton, as the list could apply to any city center. Despite this, our group—which consisted of two grandparents and two grandchildren aged 12 and 15—still found it enjoyable. However, the kids felt that the "challenge activities" were mostly silly and became bored with that part of the experience fairly quickly.
