Reviews
We had a fantastic couple of hours on the Segway tour. Despite the cold and snow, our guide Chloe ensured we felt safe and confident as first-time Segway users. The river valley trail was stunning, and Chloe made the experience both enjoyable and educational. We loved it so much that we decided to extend our tour. The café offering hot drinks and snacks at the end was a nice touch. We highly recommend this tour.
The Segway tours in Edmonton's River Valley come highly recommended. The whole experience was absolutely stunning. The views are unmatched, featuring the river, autumn colors, the bridges, legislature grounds, the historic Hotel McDonald, and a mix of new and old skyscrapers. There’s so much history to take in. Our guide Chloe answered all our questions and had extensive knowledge about the sites, making the tour enjoyable. We had an incredible time.
We joined the 6 pm tour and were lucky to be the only participants, which made the experience more enjoyable and allowed for a quicker start. Our guide was incredibly patient, ensuring our comfort and safety. Riding Segways is a blast!
Trying out this new form of electric transport was a lot of fun. However, we were let down by the short duration of the ride. We had hoped to stroll along the river, but instead we just went back and forth around the shop.
The experience was enjoyable, though it was quite cold during the winter. Chance proved to be an excellent guide, pointing out many fascinating locations while prioritizing our safety. Opting for the 90-minute trip over the 60-minute one enabled us to spend more time riding the Segways; the latter portion of the tour focused more on riding rather than talking. Learning to ride the Segways was a lot of fun, and we appreciated chatting with Chance after the tour as well.
My husband and I were the sole participants, which made it feel like a private experience. Ben, our instructor, was both informative and entertaining. After living in Edmonton for over 20 years, we have developed a newfound appreciation for the city and its river valley. We also want to thank the office staff for their assistance in rescheduling our tour; they were gracious and kind. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you, River Valley Adventures—we will definitely recommend you! Kim & Colleen
This was an incredible experience. Our instructor Chris ensured I felt both comfortable and knowledgeable during the training phase, then took us on a stunning river tour. He paused frequently to share fascinating historical insights about the region, which I greatly appreciated. He also captured many photos of us, making the entire outing delightful.
Chris was an excellent guide. Following a brief introduction, we dove right in. There were four of us in the group, and we traveled along the snowy banks of the Saskatchewan. Ice wasn't an issue, and we always felt secure while having a great time.
In February, I organized a surprise birthday event for a friend who adores the river valley and unique transport methods, making it exceptionally memorable. Despite rain the previous night, Doug arrived early to assess our trail and instructed us on safely walking with the Segways when needed, which certainly was. The views were breathtaking on that sunny afternoon. As a native of Edmonton, it was refreshing to see our city and river valley from a new perspective. I wished our adventure could have lasted longer, but we’re excited to do it again in the summer. This experience is a must-try.
The tour was fantastic, and our guide was excellent. I would certainly participate again. Just a tip: wearing gloves is a good idea because your hands might get chilly. Arrive early to secure parking in the free zone.
