Our dolphin snorkeling excursion in Wasini was truly unforgettable. From our start at Diani Beach, everything was well-organized and professional. The beautiful boat ride led us to a pod of playful dolphins swimming alongside us, which was a truly enchanting experience. Snorkeling at Kisite Park was remarkable with its crystal-clear waters filled with vibrant coral and tropical fish. The guides were friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone felt safe and comfortable while in the water. Following our snorkeling adventure, we savored a tasty Swahili-style seafood lunch on Wasini Island and took a brief stroll through the delightful local village. The locals were warm and welcoming, and it was wonderful to learn about their culture. From start to finish, the experience was flawless—fantastic guides, delicious food, and stunning scenery. I highly recommend this to anyone traveling to the Kenyan coast.
Traveling through Kenya, I initially thought our highlight would be the beaches and swimming. However, it turned out to be our visit to a local village and a cave that once imprisoned locals before their enslavement to Tanzania. This experience was deeply impactful and unforgettable. The organization of the trip was excellent; we spotted numerous dolphins and enjoyed the breathtaking turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Our guide was exceptional, the captain was skilled, and our driver provided fascinating insights about the areas we traveled through. I highly recommend this experience to all — it is truly worth every penny.
Our family had an incredible day in Wasini! We enjoyed snorkeling, walking on the sandbanks, and had fantastic views of dolphins. The lunch in the village was hearty and delicious—highly recommend the fish. The staff were friendly and skilled. This experience is a must if you're in the area.
I spent 2 hours swimming among marine life, with a brief pause for refreshments that included water and fruits. After snorkeling, we traveled to Wasini Island, located about 3 km from the mainland, where we enjoyed lunch at a beachside café. The meal began with seaweed and chili chapati, followed by chicken and red snapper, finishing with fruits. The paths on the island are formed from the sharp coral, with extensive mangrove coverage and imposing coral boulders. Our last stop was the Shimoni Caves, historically significant as a major slave port in the 18th century, where natural caves held slave pens. The total cave system spans 5 km, where slaves were brought in and held until their ships arrived. It was a fantastic day filled with fun and learning—Kenya is incredibly fascinating and enjoyable.
This experience was truly enjoyable, and the tour guide was fantastic, providing extensive insight into the marine park, the various fish species, and island life. Although it wasn't the ideal season for dolphin sightings, I still managed to see some. I highly recommend it!
My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Awesome Tours Diani on the dolphin safari at Kisite Mpunguti and the snorkeling at Wasini Island. The organization was excellent, and the team was both professional and welcoming. We were fortunate enough to spot dolphins, had fun snorkeling among stunning coral reefs, and loved visiting Wasini Island, where we savored a delightful Swahili lunch. The private tour added an extra touch of relaxation and exclusivity. I strongly recommend Awesome Tours Diani to anyone heading to Diani Beach. Thank you for an unforgettable day.
We enjoyed an incredible dolphin safari and snorkeling adventure from start to finish. Our driver, Chaka, was friendly and informative, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout the trip. Our guides, Shax and Mohammed, were full of enthusiasm and worked hard to make the day special for us. They even chose a different route to maximize our dolphin sightings, allowing us to see more than we expected, including a newborn dolphin. The trip was made even better by the fresh fruit and drinks provided, and the atmosphere was both fun and relaxed. I highly recommend the seafood platter for lunch; it was fresh and delicious after snorkeling. We also explored a nearby village and caves that hold a dark history. Overall, this experience was amazing, and I can't recommend it enough. If you have the chance to go with Shax and Mohammed, you will surely have a memorable day.
I had an unforgettable experience at Kisite Mpunguti. Spotting dolphins in their natural environment was magical. The snorkeling offered stunning clear waters and vibrant marine life. The Wasini dolphin tour was an incredible experience I'll never forget. From the moment we departed on the boat, everything was thoughtfully arranged for both relaxation and adventure. The crew was friendly and welcoming, offering us fresh fruits and tasty snacks while we took in the beautiful coastline, which enhanced our enjoyment. Seeing dolphins in their natural environment was truly magical; it felt both serene and surreal as they moved gracefully through the water. The snorkeling was another highlight, with a pristine spot featuring crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life, making it feel like we were swimming in an aquarium. After our ocean exploration, we relaxed on the beach, enjoying the tranquil ambiance and spectacular views. It was an ideal way to unwind. The meal served afterward was not only incredibly delicious but also fresh and flavorful, truly embodying the region's coastal cuisine. A poignant part of the tour was visiting the Shimoni slave caves, where learning about the history was deeply impactful, adding a significant cultural perspective that lingers long after. Overall, this tour provides an excellent mix of adventure, relaxation, delicious food, and rich history. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable coastal experience.
