The one-day safari with Patrik Mutinda was an unforgettable experience. We spotted nearly all the animals in just one hour. The jeep was immaculate, and Patrik was an outstanding driver and guide. Trust in professionals like him; you'll pay less and enjoy far more than on typical shared safaris. Anyone interested can reach him at +254 722 717798.
I had an incredible time with Francis as my guide. He was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife. My first safari experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend it. A tip: avoid wearing white, as you’ll get quite dusty, which I found out the hard way.
The park is definitely worth visiting; it offers an adventurous experience. There are numerous elephants, lions, and more to see.
Tsavo is breathtaking, vast, and teeming with wildlife. A one-day trip feels rushed, lacking even time for lunch, so consider opting for two days instead. Our guide, Omar Rashid, was excellent and enthusiastic, willing to answer all our questions and successfully locating various animals typically seen on longer trips, including lions, giraffes, hippos, and elephants. However, the vehicle used by the agency was a downside. They employed minivan-style cars, which, despite having an open roof like regular safari vehicles, made for a bumpy ride on the park roads—it felt like being on a rollercoaster. A significant concern was the lack of safety belts, which I find unacceptable for a long journey of 150km at speeds of 100km/h.
The safari surpassed all our expectations. We had a fantastic time seeing a wide array of animals, including elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, lions, zebras, warthogs, and impalas. Everything was organized and comfortable. We were picked up promptly at 4:30 a.m. and returned around 5 p.m., making for a well-planned and stress-free day. Traveling without crowds allowed us a more intimate experience, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the park, consistently selecting the best routes and locations. A special acknowledgment goes to our guide, Abu, who was exceptional: professional, informed, and genuinely passionate about his job. Thanks to his expertise, the safari became an unforgettable experience.
It was an enjoyable and thrilling day trip filled with animal sightings, though a bit of luck is necessary. The driver and guide were knowledgeable about where to go. This safari was a highlight of my holiday in Kenya.
Tsavo East is the largest safari park in Kenya, so don’t expect to see it all in one visit. Meals aren't part of the package; you can choose to pay 2,500 shillings for a buffet or 1,500 shillings for dining outside the park. Entry fees are reduced for African citizens, and bringing your passport is essential.
This experience was a mix of wonder and frustration. The safari was just 1.5 hours of excitement amid 18 hours of chaos. Severe flooding forced a perilous 5-hour ride to the park, with reckless driving that included no seatbelts and constant overtaking. Once inside, witnessing wildlife like a pride of lions was breathtaking. However, significant logistical problems ruined the day. Our vehicle broke down several times, leading to delays and overcrowding with 12 people in a 9-seater. At one point, we were briefly stuck in lion territory and ultimately abandoned the vehicle. The return trip was terrifying—a 5-hour drive in darkness on unlit roads with heavy traffic and near-accidents. The vehicle’s taillights were also non-functional. While the wildlife was memorable, the lack of organization and safety concerns ensure we won’t be doing this again. I reached out to Simon, the main contact, but aside from some generic replies, my requests for reimbursement have been ignored.
This was a fantastic experience; we encountered elephants, giraffes, zebras, and even saw a lion up close beside a lioness. The landscape was breathtakingly wild, and our guide, Shakur, was very knowledgeable, sharing extensive information about the local wildlife. I highly recommend this safari.
Communication was excellent and everything ran on time. Francis is an experienced, honest, and friendly safari guide. It was a pleasure to have him with my family, and I highly recommend him.
