A standout experience was our overnight stay at Saltlick Lodge, definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Kenya. Jennifer was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our communication, accommodating our unexpected change of plans seamlessly. Joseph, our guide, was exceptionally knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the wildlife we encountered during our game drives in Tsavo East, Tsavo West, and Taita Hills Sanctuary. He drove expertly, positioning us perfectly to see the animals, including a pride of young lions we were lucky to observe during our morning drive—thanks to his keen foresight. This team exemplifies professionalism and comes highly recommended.

Our safari was an incredible experience! Everything was meticulously organized, and we encountered a fascinating range of wildlife, which made the trip truly memorable. The second lodge, "Saltkick," was stunning with cozy accommodations and beautiful surroundings. The meals were delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. In contrast, the "Voi Lodge" on our first night was less impressive; it felt overcrowded, and the lack of air conditioning made our stay less comfortable. A huge thank you to our driver, Joseph, who was knowledgeable, responsive to our inquiries, and flexible with the itinerary, enhancing our enjoyment of the safari. We strongly recommend booking a safari with them, and we would eagerly do it again.

Our trip lasted for 2 nights and 3 days, starting at Saltlick Lodge in Tsavo West, which was simply magical. Positioned on stilts overlooking the savannah, we witnessed elephants, baboons, and antelope right from our window, and the sunsets were breathtaking. Meals at the buffet offered a variety of delicious options, and while there was no air conditioning, pleasant breezes made up for it. Our driver, Joseph, guided us through three game drives, displaying great patience and sharing valuable insights about the parks and wildlife. Though we didn’t see large herds, observing animals in their natural habitats was a unique experience far superior to a zoo. We then moved to Tsavo East and stayed at the Sentrim Tent Lodge, which resembled large cabins and included all essential amenities (again, no AC, but a fan was sufficient). We enjoyed three more safari drives there and encountered a diverse range of animals up close. Visiting both parks enhanced our safari experience, and I highly recommend African Memorable. Joseph consistently checked on our satisfaction and was punctual for all meetings. After the safari, we requested a drop-off at Diani Beach for a night at Tombo House, a delightful bed and breakfast that I also recommend, along with the clean beach that offers long walks and warm swimming. While it is a significant investment, the experience is well worth it for first-time safari adventurers.

Our driver, Bombomatano, provided a top-notch, professional experience, always willing to go the extra mile to make our safari unforgettable. It was a fantastic experience with a good variety of wildlife. The accommodations and meals were excellent, and the price was very reasonable for what we experienced. If you're coming from a cruise, ensure you allocate enough time for the drive back.
We had a fantastic experience on our safari! Our guide, Bula, was exceptional and helped us spot many animals, including a pride of six lions. The accommodations at both lodges were outstanding, and the food was delicious. The drive from Mombasa to the park takes about three hours, so we were glad we chose the multi-day safari; one day would have been too rushed. The only downside was that the ceiling fan in the Tsavo lodge didn't work well with the mosquito netting, making the first night quite uncomfortable and hot. However, on our return, we had the opportunity to visit a small Masai village, which was amazing.

Spotting wildlife is partly a matter of luck, so it's essential to be proactive and assist the guide in locating animals in the dense environment. Unlike many tourists, who tend to sit passively, we enjoyed actively watching for wildlife by standing in the SUV and using the sunroof. This engagement added depth to our experience. The accommodations were excellent, especially the Saltlick Lodge with its elevated huts and water points that offered close encounters with animals. Witnessing herds of elephants nearby was unforgettable, and both hotels provided a wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff. In conclusion, we highly recommend Memorable African Safaris for their exceptional organization and overall experience.
