Our wonderful guide Mbula picked us up at 8am in our 4x4 SUV for a two-day safari. We traveled 2.5 hours to a souvenir shop for a toilet break prior to entering the park. During our 65km journey to the lodge, we spotted the big five—except for rhinos, due to their rarity in the park. A beautiful leopard lounging in a tree was a highlight. By 2pm, we were at the lodge for lunch and check-in. Our room offered a view of the waterhole but was hot and stuffy because the fan didn’t work well. At 4pm, we took another slow drive through the park, capturing photos of many birds and animals. Dinner was served at 7pm, and then the real excitement began. Over the next two hours, about 100 elephants visited the waterhole, with groups patiently waiting their turn. The younger elephants splashed in the water while family groups quietly drank nearby. It was a magical experience. Exhausted, we went to bed around 9.30pm. The next morning, after an early breakfast, we departed the lodge at 7am, enjoying a leisurely 4-hour drive back through the park with a brief toilet break. We then visited a small but pricey Masai village, which provided insight into their culture. After lunch, we headed back to Mombasa, arriving around 2pm. Despite the long and tiring days, this was a fantastic way to see an incredible variety of wildlife, including tortoise, mongoose, ostrich, warthog, buffalo, lion, leopard, elephant, jackal, hippo, zebra, giraffe, and numerous antelope and birds. Thank you, Mbula, for an unforgettable safari. Also, thanks to Jennifer for promptly and efficiently answering my questions before the trip.
My family and I participated in a 2-day, 1-night safari in Tsavo East from February 19th to 20th, and I highly recommend visiting Kenya during the summer months, particularly from December to early March, which is the prime time for wildlife viewing. Though we only had eight days in Kenya, this safari provided us with unforgettable experiences and stunning wildlife photographs. We met our tour guide, Bula, early in the morning at the Saroyan White Sands Resort. He was immediately warm and welcoming, engaging us in enjoyable conversations throughout the trip. Bula patiently answered all our questions and shared valuable insights about Kenyan culture and wildlife. Many other tour guides we spoke with during breaks praised his reputation. The booking process was straightforward, and everything went smoothly. We stayed overnight at the Voi Safari Lodge, where we were impressed by its beautiful surroundings, amenities, and location. My family, comprising three members, wholeheartedly endorses this company. The pictures we captured, including a rare sighting of a cheetah and two lionesses with a male during their "honeymoon," speak volumes about our experience.
Our safari experience was fantastic. Communication with Jennifer, the tour organizer, was superb. She and our guide greeted us outside the port to start our adventure. Almost immediately upon entering Tsavo National Park, we spotted many animals, including elephants, zebras, lions, and giraffes, as well as vibrant birds. Our stay at Voi Wildlife Lodge was enjoyable with tasty food and attentive service, though the room got a bit warm at night without air conditioning; a portable fan was useful. On our return, we visited a Maasai village, which offered an intriguing cultural experience. Our guide was friendly and accommodating, ensuring we had a great safari. I highly recommend this tour, as do the other six people in my group.
Our private tour of Tsavo was fantastic, thanks to our guide Charlie, who skillfully managed both the traffic to the park and the challenging terrain. The Voi Wildlife Resort offered convenience, complete with a stunning watering hole visible from the dining area for wildlife watching, and the outdoor pool was a refreshing escape from the heat. Overall, it was an excellent experience.
The safari was fantastic. Bashir was an excellent driver who took us to some incredible spots. The resort and food were both quite good, though be ready for the heat. We also visited a Maasai Village and learned a lot about the Maasai way of life. I highly recommend African Memorable Safari.
Our guide greeted us right outside the cruise ship terminal with a sign and a thoughtful gift. He took us to Tsavo East, where we enjoyed a morning game drive before heading to Voi Lodge for lunch and a rest. At 4:00 PM, he picked us up for an evening game drive, allowing us to watch the sunset over the savannah. After dinner at the lodge, we had cocktails while observing animals near the lodge pond, including a hippo. The next morning, we had breakfast, then set out on another game drive at 7:00 AM, where we spotted a lion. This was the highlight of our trip; our guide also took us to a Masai Mara Village and ensured our safety throughout. He later returned us to the cruise terminal and helped us catch the shuttle back to the ship. This experience was five-star and I highly recommend the overnight safari.
I can only express my amazement at this experience. The past two days were incredible. From Jennifer's excellent communication to Joseph's outstanding guidance, everything was superb. We enjoyed the privacy of having the truck to ourselves, allowing ample space to move around. The hotel was pleasant and clean, and meals were provided throughout the trip. While the food was decent, some areas could use improvement as certain items ran out. I advise having breakfast before starting, given the long gap until lunch, and suggest bringing snacks along. Overall, this ranks among the most remarkable experiences I've ever had. Joseph's deep knowledge of wildlife and his keen observation skills helped us spot many things we might have otherwise missed. We were fortunate to see everything thanks to his efforts. After the trip, I accidentally left my phone in his truck, but both Jennifer and Joseph made sure it was returned to me. Don't hesitate to book with this company. Thank you for such a memorable experience.
The trip was expertly organized with an early pickup in Mombasa, allowing us to reach Tsavo by late morning. Our knowledgeable guide showcased much of the amazing wildlife, including all of the Big Five, various antelope species, and a rich selection of bird life. The accommodation was thoughtfully selected, clean, offered good food, and was conveniently located next to a watering hole. I highly recommend this experience.
This trip was fantastic, and our driver Joseph was wonderful. Receiving a gift from the company at the beginning was a nice gesture. Being near the animals was incredible! We stayed at Voi Lodge, where the watering hole was just outside our window, and we saw elephants visiting often.
Seeing the animals up close was a wonderful experience. The service was outstanding, and the meals were excellent. Additionally, the bed provided great comfort.
