We spent a night at the Salt Lick Game Lodge located in Taita Hill Sanctuary, Kenya. Starting from Nairobi, we took a four-hour train ride on the Nairobi-Mombasa route, disembarking at Voi, which is about 45 km from the lodge. The lodge's design is striking, and the service was commendable with comfortable rooms. Dining options were satisfying, featuring chicken, lamb, pork, and beef, alongside a variety of vegetarian dishes. We were fortunate to see an elephant come to the lodge for water, along with other wildlife. However, the afternoon safari in our Toyota Land Cruiser was somewhat disappointing. Overall, it was a unique experience.
