This destination is truly remarkable. I wouldn't want to miss the experience. It was filled with fun, exploration, and the opportunity to make new friendships.
We made our way from Kilindini Cruise Port to the Sentrim Lodge in Tsavo East, where Francis, our driver and guide, greeted us. The journey took around 3.5 hours, arriving just in time for lunch. The drive through the game reserve was wonderful, as we spotted numerous elephants, zebras, antelopes, and giraffes. The lodge was comfortable, clean, and staffed with friendly, attentive people. Meals were of high quality, offering plenty of options; we enjoyed lunch, dinner, and breakfast there. The lodge also featured a pool and a small spa with massage services available. Our afternoon game drive was equally enjoyable, with a chance sighting of a cheetah among many other animals. Our rooms were spacious, equipped with beds protected by mosquito nets, and we didn’t have a single bite during our two-day stay. The following morning, we woke before dawn to head out at 6am as the sun rose, and the wildlife was again stunning. After returning to the lodge for a breakfast that was diverse and well-prepared, we embarked on our final game drive through Tsavo back to Mombasa. Overall, it was a fantastic two days.
In February 2025, we traveled to Kenya seeking a peaceful beach getaway, but also wanted a safari experience. I connected with Emmanuel Peperoni and Emmanuel Munga Samuel through Facebook and immediately felt confident in their ability to plan remarkable excursions for an unforgettable holiday, which they did. The all-inclusive two-day, one-night safari was among the best experiences of my life; I was moved to tears seeing a lioness and was equally touched by the other wildlife. We also enjoyed the blue safari, where we spotted many dolphins and savored delicious fish. The Emmanuels are truly reliable. This was not a farewell, but a "see you next year."
The organization was outstanding, and the guide was very knowledgeable. The views were captivating, and we observed many animals in their natural habitat. Staying overnight at the lodge by the pond, where animals came to drink, was a truly unique experience.
The organization was good, though the food at the lodge was not impressive. However, our driver and guide, Francis, excelled during our time in Mombasa and on the rough terrain in the park. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
